The North Yorkshire Moors Railway. A lovely day out any time and during certain periods of the year specials are run and themed weekends take place.

The Scarborough Sealife Centre at the far end of the North Bay of Scarborough another family day out.

The North Yorkshire Moors National Park a large area of outstanding natural beauty. The park covers moors, coast forest etc and is a great place to visit.

Dalby Forest is a part of the forestry commission forests in North Yorkshire and has activities available including walking cycle hire etc, there is also a large mountain biking corse. There is a lovely forest drive through towards Pickering from the coast side of the forest and there are numerous picnicking sites.  Watch a video of Dalby Forest.
