The North Yorkshire Moors Railway. A lovely day out any time of the year and during certain weeks specials are run and themed weekends take place. The Moors Railway also has wonderful restaurant cars.
The Scarborough Sealife Centre at the far end of the North Bay of Scarborough another family day out.
The North Yorkshire Moors National Park a large area of outstanding natural beauty. The park covers moors, coast forest etc and is a great place to visit. Cycles can be hired, there is Go Ape, tree climbing etc etc.
Dalby Forest is a part of the forestry commission forests in North Yorkshire and has activities available including walking cycle hire etc, there is also a large mountain biking course. There is a lovely forest drive through towards Pickering from the coast side of the forest and there are numerous picnicking sites. Watch a video of Dalby Forest.
